Municipality of Calape
Calape is a municipality in the province of Bohol, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 30,146 people. The first settlers of Calape were said to be migrants from Cebu and other municipalities in Bohol.
Its name is derived from cape, either referring to specie of rattan or to a plant that is the source of a common beverage, both of which still grow abundantly there to this day.
